Introduction

myDiagnostic is a Shopify app that turns a guided quiz into a personalised product recommendation, with no code required. A customer answers a few questions and reaches a result screen carrying the three products their answers chose, taken from the products already in your online store.

A quiz is a sequence of screens you build yourself: an optional welcome screen, your questions, an optional email gate, and the result screen. Every answer votes for the products you attach to it, with a weight of +1, +2 or +3, and an answer can instead exclude the products it never fits, so the three products holding the most votes are the ones the result shows. From the Basic plan a scenario answers a precise trio with an editorial page of its own, its title, description, image and tips, and a trio you wrote no scenario for still reaches the generic result. Every finished quiz is recorded as a response with a permanent address that reopens the same recommendation later, and the app can email that recommendation to the customer as soon as they finish.

To begin you need a Shopify store with at least one product and an Online Store 2.0 theme, the only theme type that accepts app blocks. The app opens the theme editor with that block already added and already selected, and it asks for no access to your theme files.
